Lake Keowee was created in 1971 by Duke Power. It is 18,500 acres in size with over 300 miles of shoreline. Today it is perhaps one of the most beautiful lakes in SC. Water visibility is surpassed only by Lake Jocassee. |

Built between 1955 and 1966, Lake Hartwell is one of the Southeast's largest lakes. It boasts of 56,000 acreas and 962 miles of shoreline. Managed by the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, it has become one of the most popular recreational lakes in the state. |
Built in 1973, Lake Jocassee's 7500 acres is like none other. It is a pristine lake of unsurpassed beauty. Because most of it's 75 miles of shoreline are owned by North and South Carolina, very little development surrounds the lake. It's a must see for residents and tourists! |
